Service terms summary
Understand the advisory boundary before using an assessment.
This page summarizes product behavior and is not a substitute for lawyer-reviewed commercial terms. A signed order or agreement must define the final legal terms for paid customer work.
Advisory service
Layer 1 produces an evidence-backed workload optimization assessment. It does not modify AWS resources, databases, customer data, or application behavior. Customers remain responsible for validating orderability at implementation time, approving changes, scheduling maintenance, monitoring performance, and maintaining rollback plans.
No guaranteed reduction or savings
An assessment may identify an optimized target, an additional validation opportunity, a measured stay-as-is result, or a data/catalog/verification issue. The current service does not calculate or guarantee dollar savings.
Evidence and timing
Results depend on the completeness and representativeness of customer-supplied evidence and on current AWS orderability information. Workloads and AWS offerings change; customers should revalidate before implementation.
Layer 2
Expert review and implementation assistance are separate services unless explicitly included in an order. A normal action-ready Layer 1 result does not require Layer 2 approval.
